We went to Disneyland this afternoon/evening. We wandered through DCA for a bit, and of course I had to stop at the Bug's Life Theatre. This photo is the underside of a glowing mushroom they had around the "cave" we were waiting in.

I'm back! And Matthew is home from the hospital and doing super! So back to every day blogging :)

Day 29 and 30

Matthew is making a miraculous recovery! He'll most likely be discharged early next week. It really is an amazing thing. Even the hardest of hearts can't deny the fact that there are super natural powers at work :)

Day 28 - amazing

I will not be postin a picture today. For those who don't know, I have a brother Matthew who is 16. When he was 10 months old he received a heart transplant. As a result of the immune suppresent drugs that were needed for his body to not reject his body, his kidneys began failing. We've been waiting for the past 13 months for a kidney transplant. Last night around 1:30am my dad got the call from Loma Linda that there was a kidney waiting for Matthew. He went into surgery this morning and is now currently recovering beautifully. He's pumped up on some grand ol' morphine. His kidney is already functioning, which according to the medical staff NEVER happens. He truly is a walking miracle. I have my camera back at the hospital and just came home to change so I can stay the night there. Please continue to pray for a speedy recovery.

Yay! I finally got one. And let me tell you, Samy's Camera will have my business from now on. Calumet's prices are a little lower but they have little stock and I've had several experiences where the guys there are jerks. And I got so much help from this girl at Samy's. She went over everything with me, because I've never shot medium format. So w00t to that.

We have these cool looking red plants around our apartment. . .



- This photo was a 'mistake.' I had it set to F1.4, focused it, and then moved by accident as I snapped. The results were this "water colorey" picture (yes, I'm well aware that is not a real word). The only thing I did on this was my usual levels, curves, and saturation. That silly blurrness is au natural. But I like how it looked.






This is the same plant. Just in different lighting and in focus, well partly anyways.


Today was beautiful! I hope this great weather stays around! I have a "shoot" tomorrow. Hehe I get a kick out of saying that. I feel so cool and sophisticated. If I get the mom's permission, I'll post one or two (hint hint Amber).

Disneyland today! Father and son. What is sweeter to look upon than those tender hands? Soon they'll grow and callus. But just right now they get to be sweet, clinging, and innocent.

Can't talk. Justin and I have drank the Kool-aid and are now watching Lost season 1 on dvd. I must admit, I can see what all the hype is about!

Well I am back from Yosemite. And ok, so I didn't take a lot of pictures. In my defense it snowed hard the whole time. when it wasn't snowing it was raining. Would you want to take your camera out in that with not camera poncho? I didn't think so. So here are the few that are my favorite. Justin got some great shots too!

Incidentally, I'm in need of a sandisk card reader (the ones that read multiple cards, as I have said multiple cards in my posession). Would any of you fine ladies or gents have a recommendation on where I can find one that is fairly inexpensive that hasn't sunk on a boat somewhere in the southern pacific? Thanks much.

Day 7, 8, and 9

Ok ok I'm back from the dead. I was in pretty bad shape for a couple days. I'm still nowhere near 100% but I am getting closer. My favorite family, The Starks, had the most beautiful lilies delivered to me today as a "get well" treat. Aside from Justin, I've never gotten flowers before! So I was super excited :) :) Here are some pics of the beautiful flowers.

Day 6

So today marks a special one. I am experiencing vertigo for the first time in my life. It's quite terrible really. I am not able to stand or even sit up for long. Everything is spinning and I've been sick to my stomach all day. I did take pictures of my bottle of Vicks. But I'm not physically able to concentrate much on the computer screen to upload and edit. So I will post an old pic for now. But I still want it known I have not broken my commitment, because I in fact did take a picture today :) Peace.
